The City of Atlanta and Invest Atlanta hope to inspire creatives with help from funding assistance through the newly announced Creative Industries Grant Fund.
The joint pilot program of the Mayor’s Office of Film and Entertainment and Invest Atlanta will offer grants to independent content creators and creative entrepreneurs to help further their projects. Recipients can use the grant funding to support anything from production, post-production and distribution to marketing outreach, touring, prototype development, product development, sales and attraction.
Creative Industries Grant Fund applications will be reviewed by a committee of Creative Industries Advisory Board and Invest Atlanta personnel, and grant amounts will range from $5,000 - $20,000.
Eligible applicants include:
- Independent content creators and creative entrepreneurs located within the city of Atlanta who plan to create content within the city of Atlanta.
- Independent content creators and creative entrepreneurs operating a business within the city with a valid City of Atlanta business license.
- Independent record, management labels and their talent that are located within the city of Atlanta with a valid City of Atlanta business license.
- Independent businesses that provide educational resources and platforms to creative entrepreneurs, including creative accelerators and incubators.
