With generous support from Wells Fargo, United Way of Greater Atlanta, in collaboration with Invest Atlanta, has established the Atlanta Open for Business Fund program. This program was created to help small business owners in Atlanta build wealth by investing in assets such as commercial space, equipment, and technology. Racially and ethnically diverse business owners who have been disproportionately hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic are an important focus.

Update: All funds for the Open for Business programs have been allocated. Applications are no longer being accepted.

Atlanta Recovery Loan Program
A $5.7 million program, offering low-cost loans to help small businesses grow ownership of tangible assets
Commercial Property Improvement Grant
Grants of up to $50,000, that can be used for both internal and external improvements to their commercial property
Commercial Down Payment Assistance
Offering low-interest financing to assist existing business owners in the city of Atlanta acquire commercial property
Atlanta Startup Growth Loan
New low-interest loan to help tech startups grow and scale in Atlanta

Atlanta Open for Business is comprised of the following programs:

  • Atlanta Recovery Loan Program - Receive up to $100,000 in low-interest loans to help your business obtain tangible assets like real estate.
  • Commercial Property Improvement Grant - Apply for grants of up to $50,000 that can be used for both internal and external improvements to their commercial property. 

  • Commercial Down Payment Assistance - Offers low-interest financing to assist existing business owners in the city of Atlanta acquire commercial property.

  • Atlanta Startup Growth Loan Program - Offers low-interest loans of up to $150,000 for Atlanta tech startups to grow and scale.

  • Technical Assistance - No cost consulting services to assist in developing and submitting Atlanta Open for Business grant and loan applications.
