Improving Food Access in the City of Atlanta

"Every family in Atlanta deserves access to fresh, healthy food."

-Mayor Andre Dickens

The City of Atlanta is committed to connecting Atlanta residents with access to fresh food. The Dickens’
Administration has set an ambitious goal to ensure that at least 85% of Atlanta residents are within a half-mile of fresh affordable food by 2025.

Invest Atlanta’s Grocery Initiative is focused on using our incentive tools to attract grocery supermarkets; retain, and expand existing healthy food businesses, and strengthening our local ecosystem.
