Several staffers from Invest Atlanta had their time in the spotlight when they sat on a panel during the Seventh Annual BronzeLens Film Festival in Atlanta held Aug. 25 – 28, 2016.
The BronzeLens Film Festival, founded in 2009, works very hard to bring national and worldwide attention to Atlanta as a center for film and film production for people of color. Every fall, film lovers, actors and filmmakers gather in Atlanta to share a creative platform of education, entertainment and empowerment discussions related to film, as well as television, and the production of both.
The topic the Invest Atlanta group presented discussed finding funding for entertainment businesses and projects, and housing opportunities available to entertainment professionals in Atlanta. The panelists included Kevin Johnson, senior vice president of Economic Development, Anita Allgood, homeownership manager, and Cynthia Freeman, small business loan specialist. Filling the seat as moderator was Kent Spencer, business expansion and retention manager.
The event was an important moment for Invest Atlanta, allowing IA to engage one-on-one with individuals in Atlanta’s growing entertainment industry and discuss the many different opportunities to partner with film and entertainment professionals.
