Site Selection Magazine ranked Atlanta #3 on its North American Emerging Tech Hubs index, recognizing the city’s combination of tech talent and hard infrastructure required by the tech world.
Criteria used to determine the index included market connectivity (i.e., data center development, internet exchanges, cloud regions and subsea cables), tech employment and job growth, as well as projects in tech-affiliated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes, such as software, IT and data centers.
The publication also ranked Georgia as the state with the Best Business Climate and ranked Atlanta the third best city for corporate headquarters.
“More and more people are figuring out what we’ve known all along – Atlanta and the state of Georgia are great places to launch, grow and scale a business,” says Dr. Eloisa Klementich, president and CEO of Invest Atlanta. “Our talent and innovative ecosystem rival any city in the world, and businesses are taking notice.”
